Damon A. Goff
Damon Goff was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. In 1998, he enlisted as a Private in the US Army and served as an engineer while stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana. After being awarded the Army’s Green to Gold scholarship in 2001, he attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, later earning a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and commissioning as a Second Lieutenant through the school’s ROTC program. Following graduation, Damon became a mortgage originator for an Ameriquest subsidiary in Fort Collins, CO. In 2006, Damon began the first of two deployments as an officer with the Texas National Guard, the first in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and the second as Commander of a Security Force Advise and Assist Team deployed to Kandahar City, Afghanistan where his team of Combat Advisors mentored and provided Security Force Assistance to an Afghan Battalion (2nd Kandak). After returning home Damon attended St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, and was awarded a Juris Doctorate. Damon retired after 21 years of service in the US Army with the rank of Major and now spends his free time losing to his two sons in both mixed martial arts and video games.
